We are open to hiring a full-time employee in this position, or working with a contractor. As a full-time employee you would enjoy an excellent base salary, benefits and a flexible work schedule. We would prefer someone who will work in our San Francisco office, but would consider remote candidates.

The work you do at Fluid will leverage your experience in design and client technology as you create sophisticated HTML pages in concert with content management and ecommerce systems. Keys to your success at Fluid include:

• HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. You can implement complex interactive HTML sites in a scalable and modular way, with great attention to visual detail. You are comfortable using JavaScript libraries like jQuery and Prototype.
• Coding Fundamentals. We'll look to you for code that's well documented, clearly formatted, efficient, runs quickly, and is easy to understand and maintain.
• Collaboration. You enjoy collaborating with information architects, visual designers, and business users to dream up creative technical solutions to challenging problems.
• Server Development. You are familiar with the Apache web server, and with server programming languages like php and Java. You know how to use version control systems, and can connect to a remote Linux server using ssh.
• Leadership. We're open both to current team leads and to those who want to advance their career by taking on a leadership role.
• Learning. You are capable of and interested in learning new technologies, independently and at a fast pace. You thrive on expanding your technical horizons. Likely learning opportunities include Adobe Flash and Flex, php, UML, ecommerce platforms, and content management systems.
• Focus on Profitability. We have clients, so we have deadlines. While your craft is an art, the successful candidate can build ambitious software systems while working against the calendar, which means you can schedule work and estimate the time to complete your deliverables.
• Spanish. Fluent Spanish is a plus since we work with an offshore development firm in Argentina.
