The Interaction Designer is responsible for product user experience during all phases of development. This individual works on various project teams to develop best in class designs for enterprise-level desktop and web applications. This individual will work closely with members of the UI team, as well as Product Managers, Application Developers, GUI Engineers, Business Stakeholders, Executive Stakeholders and Customers.  This person will also be responsible for ensuring that final design meets the marketing requirements, quality and cost goals, product specifications, and achieves world-class standards of user experience.

 

 

Responsiblilities

 

Ø  Carry out or participate in exploratory research, analyzing user behavior and contribute to the formulation of requirements;

Ø  Translate field or lab customer data into usable design solutions;

Ø  Develop solutions for improved user experiences;

Ø  Develop prototypes or work with prototypers conduct usability tests help evolve UI standards and guidelines;

Ø  Heuristic evaluations;

Ø  Research;

Ø  Modeling, design and prototyping;

Ø  UI standards documentation and enforcement Managing.

 

Qualifications

 

Ø  2 to 3 years of relevant work experience in interaction design, with experience in research and usability testing;

Ø  Proven track record of implementing user-centered designs;

Ø  At least one year applying design skills to the design and development of enterprise software;

Ø  Experience in gaining active end-user involvement in the specification, design, and implementation phases through interviews, site visits and formal usability studies;

Ø  Experience working with product management and engineering disciplines;

Ø  Ability to operate under tight date-driven schedules;

Ø  Excellent written, verbal, and executive-level presentation skills;

Ø  Excellent teamwork & leadership skills.
