Athletics, a Brooklyn-based design collective, is seeking a smart, self-motivated freelance designer with both design chops and strong communication skills. This person will be working with our team to execute a wide variety of projects.

This is an on-site position. No offers of remote work will be considered, no relocation assistance will be offered.

Requirements:

• Solid proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
• An understanding of standards-based HTML & CSS
• Strong writing skills
• Good understanding of typography
• A passion for design and the web

Would be a plus:

• Strong illustration skills in either Illustrator or PS
• Web development skills - html/css, php, wordpress, jquery, etc.
• Experience with Final Cut and/or AfterEffects
• Experience with Flash
• Experience with Basecamp
• An active interest in web publishing (blogging, twitter, etc.)

Gain an understanding of the workaday mechanics of a mid-sized design firm by working directly with studio principals. Work in Williamsburg Brooklyn, hipster capital of the world.
